Methods Of Clocking In With isolved

Begin by logging into your isolved employee portal

Note : Your portal layout may vary slightly compared to the one shown below, but the key feature is the clock button, shown in the left corner.

  • Scroll to the clock-like symbol, click on it, and move towards the three more options it provides. These are:
  1. Quick Punch
  2. Detail Punch
  3. Missing Punch

Let’s discuss these three punches in detail:

Quick Punch

Punch

As the name suggests, this is a shortcut to clocking in. Navigate to the ‘Punch’ button in the middle of the page and click on it once to clock in

Additionally, this page provides you with all the information you need. For instance, you can see the exact time, date, and location while punching in

  • Once done, the system informs you with a little notification that you are clocked in
  • Click on the ‘I’m Done’ option at the bottom of the page to go back to your portal landing page

Detail Punch

To get more details and control over your clock-ins, go to the ‘Detail Punch’ tab. It provides you with time, date, attendance status

  • Scroll down to the ‘Type’ drop-down section and set it to the ‘Normal’ option
  • Set the ‘Mode’ to ‘Auto’ as that will automatically help the system figure out your punch status. For instance, the system will detect your current punch status and will do the opposite of that
  • To manually make the system change your punching status, click on mode options and select the ‘Transfer’ button

Note : This option is helpful, particularly if your company has a strict time-tracking regimen. It is also useful if there are multiple departments, and their attendance needs to be tracked separately.

On the right side of the time and location modules is a notes section wherein you can leave a detailed comment or reason for your manager every time you clock in late or have to punch out early.

Missing Punch

The last option is ‘Missing Punch’.

This button comes in handy when you forget to clock in or out and need to make up for those missing punches. You can specify the date of missed punches and fill out a form explaining the reason.

Again, like the previous section, set the ‘Type’ option to ‘Normal’.

  • For the ‘Mode’ drop-down, choose the punch type to resolve your missing attendance status

Note : This section also has a notes option, and you can leave comments for your supervisor explaining the reason for missed punches.

  • Once done, click on the ‘Save’ button, and the system will save your information. It will then submit your form to your manager under the option of ‘Missing Punch Requests’ in their admin portal
  • Once your request is approved, isolved will inform you via a confirmation message.

isolved provides a straightforward and advanced process to mark attendance. Users have multiple options to track their punch statuses, and if there are missing punches, they can submit requests and get them approved. Employees do not need to send emails to their managers explaining the reason for missed punches, and this approach can save time.
