Fairly easy to use
Pros

With Deputy it is fairly easy to clock in and out and it is something I liked the most about it. Plus being able to check my previous timesheets is something that helped me a lot too.

Cons

What I liked least about Deputy was that it would not allow me to clock in more than 5 minutes before my shift.

Allows you to manage everything in an organized manner
Pros

I personally find this platform very useful for viewing scheduled shifts and work schedules which makes organizing time for the team so much easier. Also the control over programming and assistance is spot on. I can even view the schedule a whole month in advance, which is really useful for planning my other tasks and making sure my work hours don't overlap with anything else I have going on.

Cons

I like it and find it useful. Since installing it, nothing has gone wrong.

Packed with useful features
Pros

Deputy is a great system for rostering and payroll. It's not just about scheduling as it also has features to track employee training and securely store important documents. It really helps keep everything organized and in one place, which makes my job a lot easier.

Cons

The software is very expensive, especially when you pay per active user along with a base charge. It adds up fast!

I loved the group chat feature, as it allowed us to communicate before adding shifts.

Cons

With Deputy it is very difficult to create a schedule without removing the previous version.

Pros

With Deputy we can chat, schedule shifts and send company-wide messages when needed.

Cons

Sometimes, when people do not respond, it can be a bit frustrating. Also, I think the app might need an update to fix some bugs.

Deputy is a reliable software
Pros

Deputy makes it easy to pick up shifts, offer shifts and see who is working. Also I find the interface intuitive and simple to use.

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing I dislike. Maybe a few minor features could be added, like the ability to message coworkers but overall I have no complaints.

Pros

What I liked most about Deputy was how easy it was to pick up shifts. And it made finding available shifts and signing up for them very simple as well.

Cons

There was nothing particularly bad about Deputy that stood out to me.

Reliable choice for companies like ours
Pros

Deputy is a great app, especially if you run a company and have a team. As it helps organize so many things within the organization. For example as a manager, I can send out schedules, approve staff annual leave requests and even see and share news within the company. There are also a bunch of other useful features that make things run smoother.

Cons

We have no complaints about Deputy software.

Pros

Few things I like are the integration of colored locations and tracking codes with Xero.

Cons

Customer service responses feel like canned replies. The SCHADS interpretation does not align with the award and there are errors in the software that are ignored. When I raise these issues, they just quote the terms and conditions. Also there are many inconsistencies in the product, and it seems like they don't care.

Ideal for freelancers
Pros

I use this for my freelance work, and it really helps me stay on top of everything for the month. I get the sheets quickly, and they are pretty easy to understand, which makes managing everything a lot less stressful.

Cons

When you first start using it, it can feel pretty overwhelming. However with time you will get a hang of it!
