Pros

The representative who helped us with the implementation was awesome. He was really attentive to our needs and a pleasure to work with. Whenever we had questions, he always had an answer right away. We are working with a bunch of vendors right now, but TimeForge is definitely the best. Plus the interface is very easy to use and the app fits right into the way scheduling is evolving. It's simple enough that it doesn't take much explanation and everyone has received it really well. Plus, the shift swap feature is super convenient and makes things a lot easier.

Cons

There is no integration with our sales program which means some features are rendered less useful. Also, there is no QuickBooks export file.

A must-have for managing employees and payroll today
Pros

TimeForge has been a game-changer for us. It lets us handle everything from scheduling and employee attendance to time-off requests, real-time labor percentages and sales projections all in one place. As our managers get more comfortable with the system, the time they need to manage all of this is really dropping. Before TimeForge, we were using an old-school time clock system with time cards. Employees would punch in and out and then the managers had to enter the times sometimes with corrections or extra notes into an Excel spreadsheet, which would be emailed to me so I could complete payroll. Scheduling was either handwritten or done in another spreadsheet every week. Now, with TimeForge everything is monitored in real time. Also it's web-based, so administrators can access the system from any location and pull payroll without needing help from the managers. And employees have a mobile app where they can easily check their weekly schedule, request time off and even request a shift swap (with manager approval).

Cons

Initially, I was concerned about the cost. Even though we received a discount because we are members of Associated Wholesale Grocers, being an independent grocer in a rural area, extra costs can be a deterrent. However, after completing the training and training our managers, I can now see that the savings in my time and my managers time, along with the real-time data for labor management will more than cover the cost. What I initially saw as a downside has turned into a clear benefit, with measurable savings.

Pros

For me, the biggest benefit is how easy it is to use. I have cut down the time it takes to write schedules from 3 to 4 hours to just 1 to 2 hours. This allows me to compare sales to hours worked in real time, rather than after the fact.

Cons

One issue I have noticed is that when I'm writing schedules, the system refreshes and pulls me away from the section I was working on, forcing me to start over at the top of the application.

Perfect for mid-size family businesses
Pros

Employees can see their schedule and request time off, including paid time off directly from the app. Managers have access to employee contact information without viewing any other sensitive data. It easily exports hours to our payroll provider and automatically tracks, deducts and reloads PTO on the employee's anniversary date, depending on their classification.

Cons

Well i want the fields in the employee information tab to be wider so that I can see all the details more clearly.

Customer service that goes above and beyond!
Pros

I really love that I can always get in touch with a knowledgeable IT person. He is very quick to respond to my emails and calls and he always takes the time to walk me through any issues I run into.

Cons

If the app had a built-in messaging system, it would be great.

Pros

TimeForge software is easy to use and user-friendly. And yes my experience is going well so far.

Cons

I did really like to see a report that shows the username of each user. I know it's usually tied to the email but for companies that want to use unique usernames for logins, it would be really helpful to have that option.

I liked this software a lot
Pros

Customer service is excellent. Whenever I face an issue, I can reach out and they are always ready to help. Payroll processing is easy and I love the variety of reports I can generate. Also PTO tracking is one of my favorite features. It's very user-friendly and helps me stay on top of all our employee's time off.

Cons

I have not come across anything I dislike but it would be nice to have new reports or the ones that can pull in unreported data, such as dates.

Pros

Honestly our relationship with TimeForge has been great. I especially like their customer service. I always get a quick response and I know I can count on our representative at TimeForge to answer any questions or solve any problems that come up.

Cons

I wish TimeForge and ADP were fully integrated so they could communicate directly with each other. As it is, we have to upload a file from TimeForge into ADP, which requires ensuring that everything flows correctly between the two systems.

TimeForge gives users the flexibility to use the platform in their own way. No two people will use TimeForge the same way, thanks to the variety of reporting options, views and scheduling features.

Cons

The app is pretty basic in terms of functionality and does not offer much unless you're using the online interface as well.

TimeForge is a game-changer!
Pros

Setting up employee scheduling can be complex, especially when it comes to onboarding and training users. But the team at TimeForge understands retail and designed the system to be user-friendly for retail employees. The schedules are always accurate. Also after comparing features, functions, onboarding support and cost, TimeForge is the clear winner!

Cons

No scheduling system is perfect, but TimeForge works well and adapts easily to user needs. Because it is designed specifically for retail and the workflow makes sense, it's easy to implement.
