Everything is going great so far with Namely
Pros

So far, Namely has been amazing. I use it to check my paychecks, tax info and even stay updated on what my colleagues are up to. Also it is super easy to navigate, the user interface looks great and honestly, I have not had any problems with it at all.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't run into any issues with Namely so far.

Namely is the best HR software
Pros

Namely is my go to because of its affordable price, awesome customer support and great compliance tools. What really stood out to me was its modern yet simple interface as it makes handling HR tasks like running payroll or asking for feedback fairly easy with just a few clicks. So yes it is my top pick because it covers all the basics we need for HR.

Cons

It's missing some internal communication features and has limited reporting and analytics capabilities.

A great fit for small and mid-sized companies
Pros

The customer service is excellent and I have no complaints. From my perspective as an end user, it is great to have everything in one place, including benefits, changes in benefits and PTO over time, payroll, birthdays and more. So will recommend it for sure.

Cons

Few dislikes are that with Namely I could not put together an organizational chart and the reporting just doesn't work for us because of how complex our structure is.

Wouldn't recommend
Pros

When we first got started, our implementation team was great like about 80% of it but the payroll part was where things fell short. Now, over two years later, payroll is actually the only thing still running perfectly fine, even though we're still dealing with some of the issues we brought up during the initial setup. That said, the best part for me is definitely our Payroll Admin a she is amazing and does an absolutely fantastic job.

Cons

Our experience with Namely was not the best. Things were already rough, but after they were acquired by a benefits brokerage, it feels like the tech side took a backseat. Basic features like LOA administration aren't even included and their support has been all over the place. After more than two years, we finally got a dedicated rep whos really trying but even their team does not seem to fully understand their own system. For example, I asked about a feature for expense reimbursement to meet audit compliance and support told me it didn't exist. Then, two weeks later, I accidentally stumbled across it hidden in the back end. Let's just say that did not exactly build my confidence in the platform.

Cons

I do not dislike anything about Namely. It has been proven to be a reliable tool for us.

Good, but improvements are required
Pros

I am really happy that we made the switch to Namely as it is so much better than Paychex which we used before. As it has all the functionality we need and does exactly what it's supposed to do, which makes things so much easier for us.

Cons

Namely is definitely far better than Paychex, but there is still room for improvement to make the employee experience better. The portal is not the most user-friendly and the performance review features feel pretty basic. I also find myself needing to ask HR for help navigating the platform more often than I did like.
