Fourth Payroll software is easy to use
Pros
Software is very easy to learn and use mainly when I engage with it daily. Also the support team responds quickly to queries and resolves issues properly. Integrating it with other systems has been simple as well. Our team relies on it as our primary HR system along with our payroll provider.
Cons
I have noticed one thing that some features are quite outdated and the reporting aspect could benefit from providing more detailed information.
Pros

Fourth Payroll were supposed to meet our requirements for payroll and timeclock management but they fell short and ended up causing more problems than they solved.
Cons
In fall 2022 I signed a contract for my business, using the HR and HotSchedules services from Fourth. Over the following months, I faced multiple issues caused by Fourth employees that resulted in significant financial mistakes which costs me both time and money and leading me to request refunds amounting to thousands of dollars. These issues included errors in payroll processing, such as incorrect pay rates for employees, changes in pay rates and payments made to terminated employees. I also received vastly different information about system capabilities depending on who I spoke with which was frustrating. Due to the ongoing financial errors, I had no choice but to cancel my contract in June 2023. Solutions were not consistently provided, payroll continued to be processed incorrectly and I was informed during a call on April 12 that my contract would be terminated with a final meeting set for May 31 and an effective termination date of July 1. However, this was not carried out and now I have been told that my contract is set to be canceled in 2025 despite my reasons for cancellation being linked to the company's errors. I am also being told I have to pay for the next two years, even though I cannot access their services anymore.

This software serves as a solid scheduling and communication tool for staff which provides updates through the app. Also the HR system meets standard needs well as they handle the basics well. Plus it aids in monitoring labor costs and processing payroll, while also facilitating good communication with the team. The HR system is dependable for managing personal details, storing information and processing holidays, which ultimately saves time by bringing everything to one platform.
Cons
My experience with browser support has been not the best. Some apps and tasks function well on one browser but not on others and the mobile support is lacking unless I am using the app.

We used Fourth Payroll software over 6 years ago and at that time, it was an amazing tool for distributing service charges. Managers are able to oversee their own restaurants, rather than having payroll managed from the central head office.
Cons
Website feels quite basic and poorly designed. It tends to freeze, especially since it is widely used in the market by many businesses which causes it to slow down.

The payroll process is fast and pretty simple and I feel confident submitting it. Also the enrollment process for new employees aligns with the companys policies which is reassuring.

The employees of Fourth Payroll are the best. They are helpful, responsive and genuinely try to resolve all our issues. On the HR side, Kelly Roque is amazing and consistently provides great assistance along with her team.
Cons
We required a detailed system for payroll, HR solutions, benefits and time clock management, and while your offering covers all these areas, the systems do not communicate with each other at all. Navigating through everything we need to accomplish feels like an actual job which makes it one of the most inefficient systems I have dealt with. Although the employees are very responsive, the leadership lacks communication. I never receive check-in calls or emails from them. While individuals like Gary Cona, Gene Cabrera, Kelly Roque and Nicole Fischer are responsive, our client success manager never returns calls or emails and never checks in at all.
